Different development strategies and various market segments require appropriate solutions regarding the construction and renovation of structures. The product offered by the Grand Hotel Metropol and the Casino is based on entertainment and ongoing events as well as directed towards financially demanding market segments. In order to adjust to this market segment, over a period of few years, the facilities were completely renovated. BITERMO was actively involved both in preparing and designing the projects as well as in executing and implementing the work.

In a series of diverse interventions in the Grand Hotel Metropol, we first installed air-conditioning in all guest rooms, which made the Grand Hotel Metropol the first hotel in Portorož providing such an offer. Renovation of the sanitary water heating system, air-conditioning in other areas of the hotel as well as installations in the main restaurant including the reception followed. Moreover, we carried out the air-conditioning of the ‘American’ Salon of the Casino. 

The most demanding intervention in this hotel complex was the complete renovation of the 25-metre hotel swimming pool as well as the surrounding areas designated for various accompanying activities (e.g. sauna, massage, fitness).

We recuperated the waste heat emerging from the built-in cooling devices for heating hot water.

The renovation of two restaurants and the construction of the business centre provided the hotel with precious value added intended for selected groups and thanks to which the hotel has a presence in a very demanding market.
